Safety & support
Akina offers AI characters and conversations with other members. AI characters are fictional, even when their images look like photographs. A member account belongs to another user; an account is not proof of someone's identity or age.
A community for adults
You must be 18 or older. Member ages are self-declared, not independently verified. Respect consent and a person's decision to stop talking. Harassment, sexual coercion, scams, blackmail, threats and impersonation are not welcome. Never send money, passwords, verification codes or intimate material to prove affection.
Use Report on a member profile or conversation. You can block the member at the same time. Blocking stops mutual discovery and new messages, while preserving existing history.
What happens to a report
We receive your reason and description, plus the specific message you choose to attach. The team can take a report into review, restrict community access, resolve it or reopen it. Reports about suspected minors, blackmail or threats are prioritized. We do not offer round-the-clock emergency monitoring or guarantee an immediate response.

Support beyond AI
AI is not a therapist, a real-world partner or an emergency service. Our companions must not encourage self-harm, isolate you from other people, or pressure you to pay to prove affection. After about two hours of active AI chat in a browser tab, a reminder suggests a break.
Our self-harm response protocol uses built-in rules to recognize some direct expressions of crisis, then shows support resources instead of continuing roleplay. This support does not require payment. AI replies are checked against built-in wellbeing rules and configured content rules before they are delivered. Automated checks can miss context or make mistakes; a visible help link remains available at all times.
If you are in immediate danger or have already harmed yourself, contact local emergency services. Akina cannot call them for you and does not automatically notify a responder.
Your information, your choices
Member messages are not sent to an AI model. Reports share only the evidence you submit. AI conversations use a model provider and are not end-to-end encrypted. You can turn member discovery off, edit AI memories, export your account or delete it.
Closed community reports are removed from the live database after 180 days; administrative audit records and anonymous daily safety totals after 90 days. Open reports remain while they are being investigated. Account deletion also removes associated community reports. Backups have a separate lifecycle; see the privacy policy.
