Questions people ask first
The things worth knowing before you start talking to anyone. Money questions are on the pricing page, and questions about the personality test are on the test itself.
- What is Akina?
- Akina is an AI companion app that starts with a love personality test instead of a wall of avatars. You answer questions about how you attach, how much space you need, and how you like to be shown care, and it matches you with one of eight companions whose temperament fits the answers.
- Is the companion a real person?
- No. Every companion is an AI. The conversations, the voice, and anything she writes while you are away are generated. None of it is a real person, and paying does not change that.
- Does she remember what I tell her?
- Yes, and not only the last few messages. Facts you mention are pulled out and stored separately with their own importance, so something you said in week one can still come up in week five, long after the raw conversation has scrolled out of reach.
- Do I need an account to try it?
- No. You can talk for five messages before anyone asks who you are, and the conversation carries over if you decide to sign up. After that the free plan gives you thirty messages a day.
- Can I talk to more than one companion?
- Yes. All eight are open on the free plan, and each one keeps its own history, its own memories, and its own closeness level. The test only suggests where to start.
